Bulgarian AI Factory BRAIN++ Showcases Opportunities for Smarter Municipalities at Future Cities Bulgaria 2026
Prof. Simeon Stoyanov, Manager of the Bulgarian AI Factory BRAIN++, took part in Future Cities Bulgaria 2026, presenting how the national AI Factory can empower municipalities to overcome key challenges in their digital transformation journey.
During the event, more than 15 municipalities shared their top priorities and obstacles on the path to smart city development — from integrating new solutions with legacy systems and limited resources, to improving data governance, digital skills, and organizational readiness for change.
Prof. Stoyanov highlighted how BRAIN++ can serve as a national innovation hub, helping local administrations access advanced AI tools, computational resources, expert guidance, and training. By partnering with municipalities, the AI Factory aims to accelerate the adoption of data-driven governance, smart mobility, energy efficiency, and sustainable digital infrastructure across Bulgaria.
