In March 2026, a group of students from University of Library Studies and Information Technologies visited the supercomputer center in Sofia Tech Park and got acquainted live with Discoverer – the most powerful computing machine in the region and a key element of the Bulgarian Artificial Intelligence Factory BRAIN++.
Under the guidance of Prof. Ivan Garvanov and Prof. Magdalena Garvanova, and hosted by Miroslav Tsintsarski – a member of the engineering team of Discoverer and BRAIN++, the young researchers immersed themselves in the world of high-performance computing and innovative AI solutions.
BRAIN++ was presented as a national and European hub for the development of artificial intelligence, which provides access to supercomputing power, specialized software and an expert environment for researchers, start-ups and academic teams.
The students asked a lot of questions, there were even questions about how they could become part of the team. They were very impressed that the Bulgarian AI factory Brain++ has set itself the main goal of connecting education, science and industry and to turn Bulgaria into an active participant on the European digital map.
