BRAIN++ is co-funded by the European Union and operates within the EuroHPC AI Factory context. Its purpose is to make advanced AI resources available to eligible applicants while supporting long-term sustainability and measurable impact.
Funding and Access Model
BRAIN++ applies different access models depending on project type and applicant category.

Free Access
Small Projects are always free for all eligible applicants.
Public and research Big Projects are also free where they meet the relevant requirements.
Strategic and Core Projects are free because they serve public, national, European, or ecosystem-level objectives.
Private Company Big Projects
Private company Big Projects use a market-investor participation model. This means that BRAIN++ provides a substantial support package and receives a proportionate, capped, market-conform participation in future commercial success.
This approach helps align incentives and supports the long-term sustainability of the AI Factory.
